Welcome to BP, @Jacquelyn Crouch-pelham. As Ned mentioned about Baltimore, there are also several REI groups in Prince George's as well. Best of luck with your rentals.

Welcome to BP @Ingrid Flores.  I suggest you start listening to a selection of the 130+ podcasts in the BP Learn section.  Great information to listen to during a gym workout.

Welcome to BP @John Thompson

Lots of activity in Prince George's County with several investor groups nearby.  Reach out if you want to talk local real estate.

@Joe Roberts

Congrats on passing the test. I passed the MD RE test recently as well and interviewed with several brokers. Found the broker I'm signing with shortly through a local REIA. He is an investor himself and is supportive of his agents who are interested in doing their own investing.

Ask at your REIA meetings, someone will know who the investor-brokers are, including likely the organizer of the meetings. That's the case at several meetings I attend.

 Good luck, and I agree with @Matthew Paul

sometimes the best deals are in your own neighborhood.

@Account Closed

Welcome to Bigger Pockets.  You can most likely find lots of people here who might be interested in doing business.  You should also consider attending the Baltimore Washington Investors meetup at the BWI Marriott Hotel next week. www.meetup.com/BwiMeetup/ Lots of like-minded people there every month.

Cheers,

@William Mayah

Welcome, your background in planning should be a bonus in this business; read all you can on the BP site and ask your questions. Lots of knowledgeable people on BP from this area. Best of luck.

@Bryan Ireland Welcome to BP.

I think @Peter MacKercher

pretty much covered it in his post.  It's a matter of delving into what's available and spending the time to find the information you need. Cheers.

@Terry Janney

Welcome, Terry.  This site is a great resource. I've spent a lot of time in the past few years on Solomons. Have a friend with a house at the Cove Point beach community.

@Kimberly Rice

Curious to see how you finally structured your deal.  I'm interested in multi-family units in suburban Maryland as well.

@Chantél Fielder Great information. I'm currently at HELOC +5 percent (again family rate) for short-term financing. I'll look for that video. I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Best of luck with your financing.
