@Jon Holdman Being our first flip, we did not account power lines to be an issue, now we know =) It's a lesson learned! We have lowered the price and hope it sells quickly, ready to move on to the next deal =)

@Dean Letfus Oh my, that sounds scary!

@Erik Hitzelberger Did not get the house in contract quickly. It sat for a while =( That's why it was such a bummer when they backed out. It's a beautiful home in a nice area.

@J Scott I will keep that in mind when searching for our next deal, thanks =)

Welcome Josh! Although you say your family are doing the "heavy lifting" you are contributing a lot of your efforts by simply educating yourself here in BP =) I live in Suisun so we are neighbors =) I flip and wholesale also, so let me know if you have a deal you would like to wholesale! Good luck!

Well, my partner and I just got word that our buyer backed out of our flip property today because they found out that there is a powerline near the house and they have a newborn on the way. They did research and found out that it isn't safe to raise children around a powerline. Guess it's back to the drawing board. Has anyone experienced this?

Welcome Matt! I was once addicted to Texas Holdem too.. haha!! I have yet to visit Canada but my best friend is from Vancouver and we are planning a road trip soon. I hear its a beautiful city and very expensive. BP is a great resource! You can find all your answers from your fellow members. I too, am a beginner so I don't know how much I can be of help. But I will be rooting you on. Good luck with everything =)

7am: Arrived at my federal job =/ Opened work related programs on my computer, downloaded BP podcast show #2 with @Karen Rittenhouse, put my earphones on and ignore everyone at work. (I'm not going in any particular order with the 42 podcast shows)

8am-12pm: Work on fed work while sneaking in real estate license studies. Replying to messages on BP and reading some posts.

12pm: Worked out during lunch time while listening to BP podcast #20. Deadly Mistakes to Avoid with the Bromance Brothers @Joshua Dorkin & @Brandon Turner . Always great stuff with some gentle comedy =p

2pm: Back to work at the fed job. Started listening to BP podcast show #23 with @JamesVermillion, but couldn't finish it because my stupid work phone kept ringing. Will continue tomorrow at 7am.

5pm: Got an offer in and accepted for our flip property!! Finally!! WOOHOO!! BIG NEWS!!

7pm: Replied to messages on BP

10pm: Writing this comment. Sleepy time!
