Post: Contract Addendum Question

Does anyone know of a good example to use to write up an addendum to a contract? I need to write an addendum basically just to state that an occupancy agreement will be done at closing but the original contract states that there would be an addendum as I was unsure what process we would use for that at the time.

Thanks

What I've been finding around here is about a 60k minimum due to the amount of the closing costs being a higher percentage of the loan. I'm not sure if this is a regulation or just something specific bank policy. Some of the lenders I have talked to can go lower on a primary residence.

I listen to the podcast while driving. I think keeping it about an hour is great. It gives plenty of time to cover the main topic and if something else gets mentioned that sounds interesting you can always jump on BP to learn more.

On a side note, posting the links, books, etc mentioned in the show in an easy to find place for every show is awesome.

Michael Quarles "If you can't afford to eat less and afford to." I love that. I've been looking for a new diet and this one just might help me lose weight and get a few deals.

Thanks Brandon Turner I already have a few prospects if I stay in IT so it shouldn't be long term but I am really considering other options to be around real estate.

Hey BP. I am facing a very real possibility of being unemployed after the end of the month. Luckily, there is a very high demand right now for software developers so I am very confident that it would last a couple of weeks max.

I've been thinking lately about a career change would help me on my REI journey. For those of you that have taken this approach, what were some positions that you went for and how did it help you in your investing?

Hi Brandon Turner I haven't really had my house long enough to build much equity up in it. I had a lot originally but the value wasn't done dropping when I bought it. Luckily, I'm not underwater.

I actually invest in notes with LendingClub but was denied there.

All of the properties had the same seller (liquidating due to health issues) but this deal didn't happen. This deal has passed but I'm actively looking for the next one with a little more knowledge than before.

Hi Gary Mariencheck I went to my first meeting last month and signed up the following day. It was a great place to network. They had quite a few people there. I also went to a free concert in Germantown last night that a group of people from the group went to. There is another free concert tomorrow night in Collierville that the group will be at weather permitting.

I'm not sure if this happens every month or not but when I went Curt Davis was giving an intro to first timers there. I know this June 13th they have a national speaker there that sounds pretty interesting.

The first meeting is free so it doesn't hurt at all to check it out and form your own opinion but I think it is a great group in my limited experience with them.

Anson Young That's good to know. I wasn't aware that being a realtor would eliminate your ability to do subject to. I'm not sure what kind of impact that would have on me yet. I'm thinking I may just invest for a while and then decide on whether or not to license once I have a good idea of how most of my deals are getting done.
