Post: To GOOGLE GLASS or not to GLASS?

@Douglas Larson No new tech yet. I'm watching some of the Google Glass alternatives. I've also been looking into ways to incorporate some of these newer products into applications for clients such as smart watches and smart thermostats among other things.

@Douglas Larson Did you end up getting Google Glass? I got an invite as well but decided to hold out as there are products coming out that I think will be slightly better initially (looks like normal glasses, prescription lenses, more affordable) although with the pockets that Google has, I'm sure they will improve their product similarly in the future. If you tried it out, I'd love to hear how it went.

@Javon Dixon They are definitely great for short term needs. That's what I used them for myself. I didn't have any problems with the service while I had it. The site wasn't automatically in place as soon as I signed up but it was ready in about two days. The sites were ranked pretty well and I didn't have to spend much time messing with SEO to make that happen.

@Javon Dixon I used investor carrot until recently. I had their package that gives you three sites for $50/mo. It is good for the purpose of getting a site up with content quickly but some of it needs to be changed ASAP. When they first set it up, I had George Harrison quotes as testimonials. Really, it's running on WordPress and for $5 per month you can get a host that will host WordPress and it is pretty easy to set up and configure yourself and there is a lot of free information online about that.

I'm a developer by trade myself, and am currently offering small projects for free and larger ones pretty cheap in order to rebuild my portfolio and get back into freelancing. Feel free to contact me if you need assistance.

@Anson Young That's a good read. I hadn't heard of IFTTT before but it sounds like something I'll need to try out. I can't get by without evernote, drive, and dropbox. I use them extensively.

I was wondering with everything connected today if anyone here is using any kind of cool technology to assist with their investing. There are plenty of helpful phone apps for getting data and with things like Google Glass coming out, it could become even more convenient. An idea for Google Glass may be you are standing in the driveway of a potential deal and public records information on the property is conveniently showing in your lens.

I'd be curious to know this too. I've seen similar things happen. My guess would be it is based on what people are funding. For example, when I buy notes on Lending Club, I have specific criteria that I look for based on state, type of loan, interest, etc. I look at the historic data to determine which loans seem to be the best overall to perform. I can look at the data and go, this state doesn't pay people back and filter it out (sorry California). I use their trading platform only so I'm not 100% familiar with the origination but I would imagine it is similar.

I have a stack of about 20 books and growing still to read but I just finished "How to Win Friends & Influence People." I am blowing through books a little faster lately because I started listening to audio books when I work out as well.

What I think is funny is if they actually do call the FBI, mayor, etc, is others get to enjoy it too. In a way your letter spread laughter to the community and that's a win! So far I've only had one seller leave a voicemail asking what I was doing snooping around his house. Jeepers! I felt like I was on Scooby Doo for some reason. Most of the other calls have been good but I'm only two weeks in on letters.

Combining knowledge from the BP podcasts and this picture, can I assume this is a typical day at the Turner household?
