@Anil Bansal: Hi Anil, can you provide more detail on the units you purchased. Are they single family or condos ?

I have recently started researching EPA for possible investment and was actually surprised by how nice the houses are but the schools are really really bad.

Any advice on pockets within EPA to focus on ?

Hi - I recently started exploring the possibility of using my consolidated retirement funds from other companies to use for RE investing and have read about self directed IRA. Anyone done this ? I am looking for a nice large lot single family or a multi family unit but will need to take a mortgage loan. Would love to hear more about experiences in this space.

@Lucas Miller thank you Lucas. Syndication seems to be best bet. Where can I find information on tax advantages you are referring to ?

@Joel Owens. Thanks for the response Joel. Based on what I am seeing, passive investing / syndication seems to be best option. What are the pitfalls with syndication. Specially when you don’t know these folks personally. How good are the laws here and protections so you don’t get cheated ?
