@Amad Osman There are mixed reviews in this post about Hagerstown, but I find that it is a great place as a long-term investment. I run a entrepreneur campus in downtown Hagerstown 240SouthPotomac.com (where people may say is a less than desirable place), but we are  doing well. I also own a multi-family in the downtown area as well. Just like any market, you need to create systems that will help you avoid some of the challenges that various markets have.

I have a management company as well, so if you ever want to take a trip down on the weekend I wouldn't mind helping you out.

Good Morning Christian,

I hope you are doing well. I am actually from the Washington D.C metro area, but I currently invest in downtown Hagerstown. Many people have different thought on Hagerstown, some people that have been there for years have negative thoughts. Myself I see the city changing and I think it is a great place to start investing long term. I actually invest in multifamily in Hagerstown, and I and starting a co-working space for entrepreneurs downtown as well. Feel Free to shoot me a email.

@Sabrina Savinski That would be great. I have meetings Saturday morning, through to the afternoon. Maybe we can meet Saturday around 5pm?

I look forward to meeting you.

@George Flevotomos I appreciate the response. Here is a follow up question for you. How do I find a good broker? What do you typically look for when identifying a good broker?

Hello Everyone,

I am interested in purchasing my first commercial mixed use property. The property has 3  commercial retail spaces and office/apartments above. How do I begin to identify tenants for the space, and has anyone had any luck receiving Letters of Interest before they purchase a property? What are some strategies used in your commercial real-estate acquisition process? What are the best ways to attract regional and national tenants?
