I am a Realtor, licensed in Virginia and Maryland. I have convinced my husband FINALLY to take a chance on real estate investing. We want to dive into wholesaling as we also find our way into a fix and flip. I LOVE Bigger Pockets and this is actually my second time getting on this site (I have since matured, got my licenses, and realized how serious investing is) and I have been reading and listening to as much as I can. All of a sudden I got fearful! How do I wholesale while being a licensed agent?! Is it legal?? Is it ethical? How can I make my license work FOR me while keeping my brokerage happy? I have a totally separate LLC to invest under, it won't be in my name... but I will still be obligated to disclose my license status, right?

Any other agents wholesaling?? What's your approach. I would love to chat with someone from VA and MD too!!

I LOVED Real Estate Express! https://www.realestateexpress.com/

I definitely think it depends on the kind of learner you are and how your current life is set up to determine whether you should do in class or online education. Online was perfect for me because I run another business and have a large family. I passed my exam on the first try and I was super confident when I walked in.

Good luck. I am happy to chat with you if you have more questions about starting a career in real estate in VA :-).

Good Day Awesome Investor Folk!

I have been on BP before and now I am back. A lot has changed and I am super excited. My husband and I have been running a heating and AC biz for over 3 years now, we do it all; commercial, residential, new construction, equipment replacements, custom duct design & fabrication, service, maintenance, repairs... *deep breath* LOL

I am also a Realtor now! I think it was a wise decision for me given my desires to start investing. I am licensed in both Virginia and Maryland, serving Northern VA and some counties in MD. I also have a 9 year background in construction in various aspects; estimating, project management, project controls, etc.

I am here to learn, grow, and help. I feel like between myself and my husband we have so many great things to give professionally but lack capital and actual investment experience. I would love to meet others interested in a mutually beneficial professional partnership. I can't wait to chat with you and hopefully meet you!
