Mike Collins is in tampa florida and runs the websites rehablist and yousell anyway they are offering a position as a gatekeeper to a specific county which means all their resources find the deals e-mail them to you and then you send them out to the registered investors they have in that county and which point you become a partner with them in the wholesale business and make a profit from the sale. Have any of you heard of this concept and what do you think about it. I just registered to the site and this guy called me offering me a county for 750.00 a month. The guy also said Mike Collins trained people like carlton sheets blah blah blah

What do you think would be the best way to start, wholesaling or fix and flip, rehabbing.

I am Barclay Day and I live in Tampa Florida. I am a newbie to investing and have yet to purchase a property. I have spent some money on education but have yet to pull the triger. If there is anyone on this site from the tampa area please feel free to contact me and say hi. I am very excited about getting started and very shaky at the same time. This site seems to be filled with good information and people, i am excited to be here and go through my first deal with you folks. Thanks. :D

I have been to all the local rea meetings in my area and have meet some really good people. I have also contacted everyone I can that has an I buy houses sign or add. The problem I have is that the vast majority want money to help out or they want to unload a house to me, and I get the feeling they want to unload a bad deal to me cause I am new. So I will definitley bring my first deal here and let some of you look at it before I close it. I feel that way because everybody I talk to in re are " the biggest wholesaler" " make 50,000 a week" and while that may be true, I've noticed there is a lot of B.S. that surrounds most investors. That said, I appreciate the hard nose talk from you and believe me your preaching to the choir. I have a 700 credit score and some money to work with. I just hear at the rea meetings that veryone is struggling right now and they are seasoned and that is where most of my concern comes in, while I do have some money I cant afford to lose it. Thankyou for the harsh truth and help. I guess I am just gonna have to get in the game.

I am new to this place but I have done tons of reading on all areas and post on here. I have spent around 16,000 on diferrent education and read lots of books only to read in the guru sections I was probably taken and wasted some reading time. I have been in construction all my life and decided I should be doing this fo myself and making more money and having a future. I have read so much stuff here that I feel I should just go back to a 9 to 5. I know people are making money in real estate but I also read the post where the shows on tv are not telling the truth and the profits arent as big as they say, I also have friends who say they make a ton of money in this. But I have learned there is alot of B.S. in this business and the only ones who seem to get rich are the ones teaching it. I am in tampa and know of a guy who has been doin this for a few years and seems to have done well, 12 room office, hummer, rolex, employees, blah blah blah. He says he will mentor me for 10,000 grand. another one in tampa is preston who offers a program for 5,000. I wish I could just find someone who genuinely wants to give back and would help me. I am so skepetical because of the hype around investing. What are some real #'s you could look to make in this business on a yearly basis. Should I spend any more money or just pull the trigger and go down fighting. Signed Thoroughly confused and disheartened.
