Good to know there are still those able to compete with the juggernauts! Is this how you source most of your deals? These look like great fixers and great projects! What other areas are you working in?

Thanks Nancy and will do! Our company actually operates in Florida, although I don't think in New Port Richey. Good to know if I need some advice on the market out there though!

While I was working at a Beverly Hills based investment group a year back, we quickly realized that the landscape at foreclosure auction was extremely competitive. In fact, it seemed to be dominated by a few big players who create a large barrier to entry by bidding properties up to the point where they would only make sense for those with in-house crews and who were doing an extremely high volume of deals.

I'd love to hear peoples' more recent experiences at LA, Ventura and Orange County foreclosure auctions though, as perhaps this has changed.

Hello All,

My name is David Shea and I'm fairly new to Bigger Pockets. I work for an acquisitions firm here in Los Angeles, CA that connects investors with exclusive and mostly off-market deals. Before this, however, I worked in full scale investments for a high-end flipper and developer based out of Beverly Hills. My goals in real estate are to increase my network and access to deals as collaboration is the name of the game!

Best,

David Shea

I'm a wholesaler working out of LA and Orange Counties. Based out of Eagle Rock. Would love to get a discussion going on what neighborhoods people see as appreciating the most in the coming months? Are prices set to start leveling off as well? Trends having been suggesting a bit of a bubble for a while now as prices continue to outpace income growth, but love to hear what people are seeing on the ground.
