I am from Canada and looking to purchase a STR in Orlando area. I have cash for down payment and would require a US mortgage for the balance. Is it very difficult for a Canadian to obtain a mortgage on STR and does the lender take into consideration the potential income that will be generated from the STR? Anyone have an opinion of bank vs broker?

I am from Canada and want to enter the STR market in the Kissimmee/Davenport area. I had a couple offers in but even at 100K over asking I was beat out. I am now wondering if I should wait as reputable economic platforms are suggesting a recession by 2023. The current market is in no way balanced between buyer and seller. What are other people hearing?
