I think Twilio has the most flexibility.

Plus it has a decent API, so you can incorporate into a nice amount of other applications. For example, set up Twillio to work with Google Spreadsheets for a buddy. All calls/txts that come to the 2 numbers get logged on a spreadsheet automatically. Even if the phone is off.

Worked for Section 8 for seven years. Feel free to msg me.

"Contractor Tracking" is definitely a dream app, lol. Honestly wouldn't be too farfetched with micro drones. You could have one at each site, attach a camera/mic/speaker to it and fly around to check on work.

I've been wondering what type of app (specifically mobile) that people here would love which will make their life easier and more productive. I have a window of time on my hand to jump into a new project (to create a mobile app) and maybe make some type simple "dream app" come true.

Personally, I've been thinking a simple lead management app specific to REI would be awesome but, would want more input on features opposed to think of all them alone. I want to get into REI so seems kinda applicable.

Any thoughts guys/gals?

Cheers!

I was thinking of creating a small web app for a buddy to do something pretty similar. (more of a CRM)

Send me a message, we can chat about the details. I can make an app that leverage Google Drive/Doc for the community.

Don't think something this simple warrants a monthly service cost...

Not sure about the text as its usually more costly to implement but, they should be able to email you per lead.

Not a lot of decent solutions, currently working on one myself. I don't mind sharing if you don't mind giving input.

Before this I've been using Dwolla. Not crazy about it.

Dot com will always have more SEO juice and anti spam power. The others are novelties in my eyes. Like if you wanted a business card to stand out a little more buy a .estate too. Keep in mind you have have as many domains as you like.

Currently working on an mobile application to do so but, as of now I use a light weight CRM.

I wouldn't consider it so. You will need some pretty decent development skills to use it. Of course you could learn, but I would consider the opportunity costs.
