@Aimee Fisher Most land investors don’t deal with infill type lots like what you described.

@Chris Seveney has some good advice on the current market.

@Chris Barrett, I also started with the LA course.  Since then I've seen most of the training programs out there from friends.  80-90% of the courses are the same basic idea, sending offers to land owners.  Then the other 10-20% of the programs provide a different focus on business plan IMO.

LAcademy
focuses on cash flips
LGeeks
focuses on selling on terms/owner financing
Jack Bosch
focuses on LOTS of different things, including what I would call wholesaling or assignment of contracts
Seth/RETipster
is a well rounded education and Seth has even said that the majority of his course information is available for free on this website, you pay for the structured learning course and having it all outlined in a logical order.
Casual Fridays focuses on cash flips of Bass Boat recreational type properties and more recently moving toward large acreage subdivides

It really comes down to what type of business you want to build and unfortunately most people likely don't know that answer when they get started.  So listen to their podcasts and choose the one that speaks to your personality the most.

Hope this helps.

@Ryan Kelly,

Thanks for the reply and recommendation.

Hi @Fernando M.,

Thanks for the quick reply.

So far the only one I've found online that states they specifically cover Bell County is hometaxshield.com.  I'm chatting with them now to get a couple questions answered, but they charge $30/property/year fee plus 30% of any tax savings they achieve for you.  Most of the other services that I've seen online do not charge an upfront fee, and some are 30% while others are 40-50% of the tax savings.

I'll let you know if I find a better option.

Howdy,

I have a couple SFR rental properties in Temple Texas and am looking for recommendations for a property tax dispute service that works in Bell County Texas. Is this sort of thing worth it or am I wasting my time?

I appreciate any recommendations that anyone can provide.

Hi @Andy Newbie, Land Academy also has an upfront (on top of the monthly) fee.  I'd venture to say that 80-90% of any of the courses mentioned will cover the same "basics" of land investing.  The other 10-20% is their own spin or specialty IMO.  Good luck choosing a program.

Give Chris Lockett a call ‭two five4 77one 363three He’s a friend from church that held our hand buying our two SFR rentals there in Temple. His Dad Terry manages them for us and they both helped coordinate the little rehab work that the properties needed.
