Hi BP Community,

I am getting starting in note investors and as I continue to educate myself on the aspects that I need to get a good system started, I am having trouble understand who are the vendors I can trust in order to establish a good deal flow. Do people have any suggestion on platforms they use for things like finding deals, servicing notes or even find good real estate attorneys to help with the foreclosure process.

After I get done the pile of books I have related to note investing, does anyone have good suggestions on ways I can get started that can help me get my feet wet?

Thanks in advance for you suggestions. This community has been soo helpful getting in connected with some of the resources I need to get started.

@Colin B.

Given these setbacks when looking at NYC notes, how do you evaluate other markets to see if they are good places to invest with Notes. Is there a source that you look at that gives you some kind of credible insights on out of state markets you can invest in? Also I feel like its difficult to find credible vendors I can trust without there being a platform that gives access to reviews of what other note investors use.  Are platforms like NotesDirect a good source to start with to do one off deals and get my feet wet?

@Christopher Winkler

Thank you for your suggestions. Is there one that you find better than the other? Also how to you ensure that you are getting accurate information with all of these online courses. Some of them seem dated and there doesn't seem to be a platform to hear reviews from past students and their experiences with the course. Do you have any thoughts on that?

@Colin B. Thank you for the suggestion! I am actually in the middle of ordering the book as we speak! I see you are from the astoria area, that's where I currently live now. What has been your experience with investing in the NYC market (if you have) and have you had a positive experience investing in notes? What are some of the best forums you use to stay connected to the community of note investors out there?

Hi Everyone! I am very new to real estate investing and, through my research just, learn about note investing here in the BiggerPockets community! I would love to learn more about the subject from someone who is currently  well verse in the field. I have a couple of general questions regarding great places to find good deals on notes and how they evaluate which market to get into. I am looking to start out in the Glendale, CA area and I also have a lot of knowledge on the New York City area, where I grew up.

I do not have a lot of funds (just $15K to get started) but I do have a lot of time to invest since I am hoping to start doing this full time.

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions.

@Nabil Suleiman Thank you for your advice! I do have a lot of time on my hands and will definitely work on getting more fluent in this area.  Are there any resources that you know of that are particularly great ways to get more fluent on the market? Also do you know of any local real estate investment clubs in the area I should get familiar with.

@Brian Ploszay I will definitely look into Montrose for opportunities. Do you know of any local investors in the area that would be good sources to connect with? Thanks in advance for your suggestion.

Hi All,

My name is Dannie and I am brand new to investing. I currently looking to get into the Burbank/Glendale market and would love to hear folks thoughts on which one has the best playground.

I am also open to learning about the different ways folks use to find deals in the area. I have great credit and about 15K to get started. Any advice on the best way to get started would be welcome since I am looking for creative says of financing that would help me get started.

Thanks all in advance for your help!
