@Dakota Burkeen Thanks Dakota! I hope it goes well for you too! I’m actually going to use more family and friends as I come from a family where we’re all useful and can be handymen in some way or another. That’s my fault for not making it clear. But I do plan to use contractors too on my own investments if I have to. Anyways, thank you again for the advice!

So I'm looking to start a house flipping business in a few years, I just need to save up capital before I begin, and that's what I'm looking to do by becoming a real estate agent. Although there is more I need to learn and will learn, a question I have on my mind right now is how would I go about paying people that help me fix the house? Should I give them a percentage of the profit since they helped me raise the value of the house or pay by the hour? They would only be doing the actual labor work with me, but I'd be the only one actually managing the business.

I am 18 years old living in the suburbs of Chicago looking to begin investing within the next 2 years. I'm reading book after book on anything real estate and trying to learn as much as I can to be as ready as possible when the time comes. However, I'm looking to see how and where to find places in my state to invest in, how would I approach this? Is there any places right now that are great places to invest or up and coming neighborhoods?

Hello everyone! I am currently nothing but someone looking to obtain and retain as much information on real estate investing and becoming a part time real estate agent. I am turning 18 not too far from now and plan on enrolling to take online real estate classes in the next month or so to receive my RE license and work that job part time to save enough money to eventually start my real estate investing career as well. I guess my question to you all is is a a college degree of any kind necessary? I do not plan on attending college as it doesn't seem like it will be useful with anything I plan on doing but I also don't know if it can help me in big way or any way really. Thank you in advance for your help.

So I’m soon to be 18 and want to become a real estate agent. But I also want to get tattoos. Would that really matter when becoming a real estate agent? I can easily cover it with a shirt but would it be considered unprofessional or make it harder to be accepted by a broker?

So I'm 17 and currently getting into and learning about real estate investing. I've been reading many books including the BRRR book by David Greene and The Book on Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner. However I have a couple terms I'm having trouble understanding. What are "hard money lenders" and "private investors"?

Hello everyone! I am nearing the age of 18 and want to become a real estate agent as soon as possible. I know the online classes don't really show you how to be an agent more so just the terms and words agents must use and know, but I wanted get opinions on which websites I should use to obtain my license? Right now I am looking at Illinois RE Express and the RE School of Illinois.

Hello everyone! I plan on being an active real estate agent and investor and right now I’m still educating myself. I plan to house hacking and live off of that for some years to save up on money to be able to buy land and build my own house from scratch. However I have a quick question about the First Time Home Buyer Grant (FTHBG). If I were to purchase a duplex and house hack it as my first property, would i still be eligible to use the FTHBG whenever I decide to construct my own house?

Hey everyone! Starting in August I plan to sign up for online classes to obtain my real estate license and become a certified agent. However I do plan on becoming an investor as well and been too caught up with educating myself about different methods of investing, I forgot that to become an investor, I first need to succeed in a career to save up money, which is where becoming a real estate agent comes in. Where I need help in is finding out where to start. Is there anyone that can recommend podcasts, books, articles, anything to improve my knowledge on agents? I want to learn as much as possible right now during this pandemic so I can be ready to go and take action as soon as we are allowed to resume our normal lives.

Quick question for you all. Where would I go exactly to look at properties online? I know websites like Zillow and Realtor but I'm not sure how to properly find the hyperlinks or anything to take me to the actual properties. When I look at duplexes or 3plexes I'm only shown the actual unit to rent out. Am I going to the wrong websites or am I just having trouble looking for them?
