Adam Fansler do you think it would be best focused on looking around Grove City & Reynoldsburg-Whitehall-ish? I'm looking for a decent property for my 1st rental in Columbus. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I've pretty much just been searching Zillow and the FlexMLS.

Adam Fansler I meant to say duplexes/single family. My budget is too low for multi. I do not plan to live there, I will hire property management. I'm looking for something with cash flow. I was trying to find around the 1% rule. I haven't seen much for duplexes around except for really bad areas in hilltop/linden area.

Dustin Faeth I'm in Blacklick/Reynoldsburg area in Columbus. I've been looking For the past month for a small rehab and rental in Columbus. Any suggestions where to focus my search? My budget is up to 165k for single family. I could partner on a multi family if I found something. I've been looking in Grove City mainly bc the cheaper homes and the growing school district. My realtor isn't much help, and just gives me the mLS and leaves it up to me to find something.

I have my home in Blacklick/Reynolnoldsburg area I'm going to rent out. I want to get 1 more rental in Columbus shortly. I'm not sure what areas I should focus on to get into a multi or single family. My budget is up to 160k. What areas would people suggest I look for a rehab & rent? I've been looking around Grove City, Powell/worthington, and olentangy area. Would like to hear any suggestions on areas to focus more or even a good realtor who could seek out potential rentals that I could view. My current realtor does help out much, she just subscribed me to Flexmls and tells me to let her know if I find something I like.

Thanks Aaron Lovett and Sean Davidson I appreciate the information you provided. I'm going to look around I-155 at some 2BRs Do either of you have experience with VRBO/AirBnb if I had an opportunity to get 1 on music row? I'm wondering how consistently owners are able to keep them occupied. It's seems like that would be the better route to go than trying to get those properties rented out in leases for around $3k/month. Any suggestions/opinions definitely welcome. Thanks again!

Hi I'm in the process of moving to Nashville. I am from Columbus, Ohio where the market in Nashville is a lot different than Ohio. Properties seem crazy overpriced and I'm not real sure where to look for the new up-and-coming areas that have not been hit by crazy high prices. I'd love to to talk with anyone to get ideas on what urban areas to look at for potential rental properties. I'd like to find Properties $70-$120k to get started (if at all possible). Any advice is greatly appreciate it.
