Hey guys I'm from Quebec and am dealing with my first Eviction, my situation is we are doing a major reno and had to give 3 month notice for eviction as we are also repossessing the unit when reno is complete. The tenent would not accept the notice or sign it, we had to make a claim with Regie du logment and recieved a courtdate, the new situation is the tenents wants us to sign a form agreeing to change the court date as his principal witness is not able to make that date. I believe this is a tactic to delay the eviction and ruin our renovation plans

@Justin Abdilla thanks for the info I will have to do more research but we will be taking possession of the property after the renovation, the law states that I can evict them if I myself am moving into the property

Hey everyone just looking for advice, I am planning a renovation project in Feburary and just gave my Tennent 3 months notice to evict as it will be a total gut job, however they are not complying and we may run into issues. What do you do on the situation when you have given notice, say they refuse to acknowledge receipt for the notice and do not leave, say time comes on the construction start date and they are still there what can I legally do? Should I bring the police to remove them ? Just looking for advice for people who have had tough time evicting.

Hi everyone I am about to purchase a fourplex in my name. I would like to transfer the property into a corporation for tax benefits, how long after the purchase of a property before you can do this? As well have any of you had to do this before, if so, what are some pros, cons or maybe hidden fees/cost to do this? Is it worth it for limited liability reasons and tax breaks? How does anyone purchase a property in a corporation? My. Bank would not allow it bec
