Wow! This is great information. @Michael Greenberg, did your cleaner use the Turnoverbnb app before you hired them? If not, was it an easy sell to get them to try it?

When interviewing prospective short term rental cleaning services, what kind of questions should we be asking and what's important to look for when evaluating a new company?

I like the cabinet idea and will try that if I cannot find a piece of art to cover it. Thanks!

I'm looking at ideas to bridge the transition between the wood floor and kitchen tile in my latest rental. I was thinking a thick piece of quarter-round may do the trick, but wanted to see if anyone has remedied a similar issue?

My newest furnished rental has a breaker box in the kitchen that I would like to hide or at least make less noticeable. It's about 38 inches tall and 18 inches wide, so it sticks out. Has anyone ran into this situation or has an idea on how to "hide" the box?

How do you guys keep your cleaners on schedule? Any software recommendations to share your booking calendar with your cleaners to keep them on schedule?

Thanks Jack. Do they not collect those taxes already? Every listing I see automatically charges each guest an “occupancy tax”. Am I missing something?

Does anyone have any tips on how to handle cleaning of the unit after guests leave? There is a small window of time each day to clean and it is almost impossible to do it yourself while working a full time job.

You have a couple choices. One you do it yourself and for weekday checkouts you block off a day to allow you to clean after work. If the cost of cleaning is less than one days rental then it makes sense to hire someone when needed. If your rent is less than what it costs to pay a person to clean then it makes sense to block a day after they check out to allow yourself time to clean.

I increased my annual revenue by paying a cleaning person and having same day check-in check outs.

This makes perfect sense! Great strategy, thanks!
