Hey Tiffany! All in the area should have a meet up...

Hello! We just rented our first house, Holidays Island, and it was fun getting it ready. We learned to do a lot ourselves. Look into DIY type books and fix what you are able, the feeling of accomplishment is great and you can save a ton! Always fun connecting with others in NWA...

I worked in crisis/suicide in the field for 13 years (I went out to these types of places). I understand your position and hesitation ... and depression leads to 'the impossible task', like cleaning. Call the local mental health place and ask them to do a welfare check, your social duties end after that. Unfortunately you cant use 'not my circus not my monkey' since you own the place...

Dont assume they wont bring them in... never assume they wont bring them in! Chickens will also tear up a yard depending on size and amount of chickens. Roosters make one hell of a racket and neighbors will complain. Chickens are not a good idea unless you have a strict limit of 5. I've done the chicken thing...

Looking for folks around the Northwest Arkansas / Southwest Missouri area. Specifically Eureka Springs and Branson area. I've just finished my classes now studying for my Lic. Exam. Starting my second life career and Real Estate is more exciting than I first thought. Seeking others to connect with in this unique area of the Ozarks for Networking, corroboration, ideas, questions and answers. And if Im able to gain a few friends in the bargain... all the better!

I too worked in mental health and I now live in the NWA area (Eureka Springs/Holiday Island) and can say there is not a big meth problem, at least no more so than any other rural area in the Ozarks. Lead Hill and that area are rural... very rural and poor, The Beverly HillBillys was written about life in NorthWest Arkansas and in many places not much has changed, so that should give you an idea . If you're thinking decades down the line I would look towards the tourism side but as for right now...? As far as the website where you can buy property for back taxes, I caution you, a lot of those properties are vertical and virtually impossible to build on. It is beautiful around here though.

I'm fortunate in that I have been and done a lot of things. My previous profession was in the Mental Health field and Government with various other jobs along the way. I am looking forward to learning more about real estate and the intricacies of it all. We are in North West Arkansas, have 2 homes and are working towards owning more, buying and selling and making some money. This is my 2nd life profession and it is becoming more exciting than I anticipated. Any advice is appreciated ... Thanks!
