Old New Guy. Going for my Agent License at 55!

I'm fortunate in that I have been and done a lot of things. My previous profession was in the Mental Health field and Government with various other jobs along the way. I am looking forward to learning more about real estate and the intricacies of it all. We are in North West Arkansas, have 2 homes and are working towards owning more, buying and selling and making some money. This is my 2nd life profession and it is becoming more exciting than I anticipated. Any advice is appreciated ... Thanks!

Welcome to the Real Estate Profession! Real estate sales is a job that it is very common for people to start after their first career. In many cases people retire from a job and then get licensed. So you should feel very comfortable with doing the same. It has been one of my favorite things about working in real estate sales, getting to know other agents and finding out what their backgrounds are and what brought them to real estate. I spent my whole life in construction working with my father and then being a general contractor myself. I got licensed at around 32 just to sell my own properties and ended up loving the sales side.

Good Luck, I am sure you will do great! Aaron
