@Laurence Walsh-Hodson, you have to take heed to what's going on. Run, Run fast! Every property that look good on paper isn't always good. You have been given many signs that this just may not be the property for you and your husband to invest in. What is the worst thing that could happen if you walk away?

@Tessa Wattley, Welcome... BP is a great place to learn and acquire the knowledge necessary to go out there and be successful in your market. Just ask a ton of questions and also give, as I am sure you have a lot of knowledge from a PM and Design point of view... Good luck and Happy hunting!

@Tanesha Mills, its really good that you started asking questions before paying the money. If you have any doubt about something, usually your first thought is the right thought. If you have that type of capital to invest, really take a hard look at what strategy you are considering and find you a partner with some experience to do your first couple of deals with. One thing for sure, you have to get ACTIVE... Stay on here, read and ask a ton of questions. As @John Feldman has stated, REIFAX seems to be a good tool to help RE Investors find properties in FL without utilizing a realtor. I haven't used the software at this time, but I am seriously thinking about making the investment within the next week. One thing I try to do on a daily basis, is drive 4 $. You may want to start there. Oh yeah, make sure you tell as many people as you can outside of BP that you are a RE Investor... Hope that helped just a little bit... Just get out there and make it happen!

@Etienne Turner, definitely great start to REI! With your marketing background, definitely make sure you put that to use. Just search some of the marketing forums on BP to see what marketing strategies other investors are utilizing today to fit your investing strategy.
