Hey Madeline,
I'm and investor and Agent in the Tacoma, WA area and visit Seattle quite often. We could definitely link up at some point during your trip I'm sure. I'm always down to chat about Real Estate, Investing, entrepreneurship, and the like.
I'll see what day/time works best and let you know via your Calendly.

Jaclyn, We did go to small claims and were awarded the maximum amount. We have not went forward with anything from UniteCT.
If you have any experience, please share.

Josh,

Thanks for the feedback. I agree, there is definitely a need for more STRs / tourist housing.

I lived there for many years and just recently moved and noticed the same issue and was hoping something would be set in stone before I left.

I’ll continue to follow the Pilot and news coming out of the area.

I have scoured online and called multiple places with no solid information or documentation on the STR regs in Moore County (Southern Pines), North Carolina.

Is anyone familiar with ( OR Where to find) the Short Term Rental regulations for Southern Pines, NC. I am looking for information on lengths of stays allowed, age requirements permits needed, specifics of safety signs if your property has a pool (and are you required to drain), etc.

Over the last 9+ months, we have been trying to evict a non-paying tenant in a property in Meriden, CT. This wasn't due to any COVID-related circumstance. This was a lapse of time situation and a tenant who decided not to pay. Even told the judge it wasn't the fact that he couldn't afford it, he just didn't want to pat since we wouldn't renew his lease.

We did not succeed with the eviction however, the tenant did move out on his own eventually.

My question is has anyone had success with the UniteCT program or going to small claims (or regular court since this is in excess of $12,000) to try and recoup the nonpayment of rent if so I would love to chat further on how that process unfolded.

We are looking to refi (preferably cash out) from an owner financing to a conventional loan on our property in Meriden, CT.

Are there any lenders/banks that you would recommend based on experience?

If so, who and what makes them stand out / sets them apart from others?

Post: Evictions- Looking for an attorney in Connecticut

Looking for an attorney in Connecticut who can assist with evictions.
We have a rental property in Meriden, CT where a tenant refuses to leave.
We are going on month five that he does not leave after his one year lease ended.
We had a property management company who were supposedly handling the eviction process. (As owners we planned to move into this unit of the property-an exception to the moratorium during covid) It’s been a bad experience with this property management company -they quit on us.
Now we are left to find an attorney to help us. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Any recommendations on a Lawyer to handle this? We are in a situation where we told the tenant we would not renew his lease, back in March. Our PM has finally just filed a notice to quit, for a month away from now.

Everything I’m reading states there is just a minimum of 3 days needed.

Anyone here have a similar situation ?

Pace and his team are the best! They go above and beyond. From brand new beginners who just learned about real estate to people closing $MM a year, Pace gives them each his undivided attention. He takes multiple hours out of his day to answer questions, talk to sellers for students, and to teach and ensure each student is 100% confident and successful. Hands down the best Mentorship / Dude in the universe.

@Patrick Britton sounds like you are stressed to the max with those properties and offloading a few of those will take that weight off of your shoulders, right?

I’d be interested in hearing some more about them. 😉
