Wow @Account Closed! You are doing great. We are just getting started ourselves. Looking to make our first deal in the areas you are thinking of moving into. Wish I had your energy! Good luck, and welcome to bigger pockets.

@Becky Campbell I am new to REI as well, just getting started. My husband and I will be looking for houses to rehab and flip and eventually houses to rehab and rent. Maybe you would like to get together. I have lived in Denton county since 1980, including Frisco. Good luck on your new journey!

@Jon Goehring  @Roy Oliphant Thanks so much for your reply. I agree, real estate would not be a well worn path as Brandon says, if it could not be pursued all the time. I am reading as much as possible to find the right strategy to pull the trigger on our first deal at the right time. It can be kind of scary, especially since I am disabled.

Once again, @Cheri Lange thanks for asking the question. Also note that by putting and @ sign in front of the name, it sends a mention to the person. I had to learn this the hard way as well.

Hi, Adriana! I am new as well, and I'm just north of you just outside of Denton. I am trying to learn as much as I can right now. My husband and I have joined a couple good REI groups in the Dallas are. Maybe I will see you at one of them.

Good luck in your new venture!

Thanks for asking this question, Cheri. I am even later in life and just starting out. I hope to learn from the answers that you receive as well. Good luck on your journey.

@Nicholas Reece thanks so much for the link on the book. I am new to REI as well, and in Texas. Looking forward to reading it.

Welcome, @JD Thornock! Good luck with your first Texas deal!

@Rocky V. Thanks so much.

@Michael Lee Wow! Thanks so much! You shared a lot of good information. We are a bit older ourselves. My husband and I are both 57 and we had already determined that we would not want to do much of the rehab ourselves, we bought a fixer-upper 10 years ago and I about have it out of my system! And, my body says NO WAY!  Maybe when we have gotten our feet a little wetter, we would enjoy meeting with you ... right now I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. We have started attending some of the local networking meetings, so maybe we will cross paths there as well.

Thanks, @Jose Matuk, I have started working my way through the Ultimate Guide.  Yes, we have joined a couple and will be looking at some others.

Thanks, @Mark Nolan!
