Hi everyone!

We have a house up for rent and this will be the first time we are renting a house without going directly through the military. What process do y’all use to handle applicants? For example: do y’all take the first qualified applicant that you get? Do you have a “showing” period where you show the house for a week, then review applicants the next week, and then decide? We posted our house to Zillow and Craigslist and within a week has about 30 calls and 15 viewings. We don’t know what process works best!! Thank you all so much for any advice!

@Susan Maneck not everywhere flooded in Katrina. The house that he is showing didn’t. You just have to do your due diligence and make sure of your property’s elevation.

@Christian Brown I know that house! I remember seeing before anyone had done any work to it. I’ve lived in 4 houses in that neighborhood.

Thank y'all so much! Such good advice as usual from great people. It's a good house but not perfect. The inspection is scheduled for Wednesday. Fingers crossed!

We are selling our house and the buyer is using FHA financing. We have heard nightmare stories of FHA financing as far as being the seller of the house. I know the restrictions to the home inspection have become a little more lenient, but we have no idea what to expect. What are some things that we should be aware of as far as the inspection and the process to close? Thank you for any advise.

Thanks Pat! I've been to a few of the meetings before. It's difficult to make it because I hate missing my kids sports games so I usually only come when it's raining!! I would love to learn more about your perspective on investing in Biloxi and which areas you think are good!!!
