I live in Roxborough and the surrounding areas are nice and renter friendly.  West Mt. Airy might have some good options for you.  Chestnut Hill is very pricey.  There are a few multi-families available in Rox/Manayunk at the moment.  All depends on your price range but this is where I will be buying.  Very dog friendly!

Also - This does not have easy access to Cherry Hill.  It can take over 30 minutes to go 1 mile to get to 76 some days.  Alot of new development.  This area is very congested during rush hour.

Thanks for the warm welcome.  I have been lurking for a while and figured it was time to join the discussions.

I rent and had to repaint over my landlords horrible DARK BROWN through the entire house.  We picked a nice neutral gray / taupe.  Opens up the whole house and makes it look so much bigger.  Of course he agreed on the color before we painted!

Hi all,

I am the definition of a late bloomer! I have been interested in RE for most of my life but just now doing something about it. I am almost finished with my RE classes and would love to find a broker to align myself with. I am in the Rox/Manayunk section of Philly.

I currently have a full time job I don't plan on leaving so this would be a part time job for me. I am aware of the issues that come along with this but I feel like my passion will help me overcome!

I also have the goal of one day being an investor - don't we all - and owning several properties. Hoping to one day make that my full time gig.

I posted this in the Philly section as well!

Thanks!

Chrissy
