I am looking at a home 2/1 856 SF plus a garage that’s 336 SF I should be able to turn into a bedroom. Needs work, there is not a foundation and after repairs are made I need to refinance to pull my cash back out of the deal. Is this going to be possible or is this a cash buy and can’t ever refinance it?

I am looking into the San Antonio market right now I have not done any deals but I have had @brad Larsen recommended to me as a property managment company and maybe he would know a few contractors for you.

@Bree Blades I plan on flying out also and looking around the city neighborhoods. That's a good point I will look under events and see if I can find any REI groups I'm sure there has to be at least one?

@Ryan Wakabayashi that’s great I am doing the same thing trying to learn as much as I can and network with as many people as possible In the cities that I would like to invest in. I’m from ellensburg WA and prices are through the roof here and don’t make for a good buy and hold my price/rent ratio would be around .5-.6%

@Alex Kamunyo that’s great! How has your experience been house hacking the duplex? Yes I am interested in investing in San Antonio just trying to get some more information about neighborhoods and then I plan on investing in some buy and holds possibly some rehabs as well.
