Quote from @Nikki Cepeda:

My husband and I are based in Janesville WI and have been investing there for 4+ years and currently have 8 units. Our market is lacking inventory, decent-quality property, and cash flow so we're looking to expand into another market.

We're not as familiar with the neighborhoods or how the market is looking. Seems like a ton of inventory and cash-flowing properties but some have vacant units and have been on the market for a while so something must be off in some cases.

Would like to get connected to someone if anyone has personal recommendations as we're pretty motivated to purchase multiple multi-families this year and next.

Thanks in advance!

Kattie Ninkovic with Keller Williams is outstanding.

Tony Giangreco and the Mind Right Realty Team with Keller Williams are also fantastic.

Quote from @Rada Duvall:

Do you have a map of the areas you service?  With many new pockets of the city being bought and renovated there is a demand for good property management companies in B/C neighborhoods especially for out-of-state investors.

Hello Rada, sorry for the delay. I did not receive a notification that you had responded to my post.

If you are asking for a map that I am willing to cover for Short Term Rental management/CoHosting I am willing to go one hour north, south, and west of Milwaukee. If that helps. I could possibly cover northern Illinois down to Lake Cood Rd-ish if that helps.

Quote from @Leah Larson - Remer:

I am looking for a CPA/Real Estate Tax Strategist accepting new clients in the Lake Geneva area. I cannot get a call back from anyone I find and call. I recently bought our first Air BnB and would like some assistance getting it up and running correctly.

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Leah, I use Tim Moy of MBECPA LLC. He is located in Baraboo, WI. Him and his team are very accessible. They handle my personal and real estate taxes. I have an STR in Wisconsin and Florida.

Hi Dean, There are a lot of finance options out there. Bigger Pockets has great podcasts options to learn more. I really enjoy the Rookie Real Estate podcast with Tony J. Robinson and Ashley Kehr. The feature people just starting out. My wife and I purchased to single family homes last year and turned them into STR's. That podcast was a big influence. I am local to Milwaukee. Let me know if you would like to connect more to hear more of our story. Good luck!

I have an STR in Navarre. I used Complete Home Remodelers for several jobs. Shelly and Jason Taylor are the owners. Jason's team did a great job installing new floors, baseboard, built a 4th BR and closet and did some electrical work. This was March/April 2022.

I am wondering if anyone has had sucess in short term rentals in any markets in Wisconsin and would be willing to share those markets! Thank you in advance!

Hi Clay, my name is Chris. My wife and I have a cabin we use for STR in the Kenosha area we do well with.  We get a lot of people coming up from Chicago since it is close to the border and they want to get out of the city. We are close to a lot of nice lakes. Let me know if you have other questions.
Quote from @Michael Stefan:

Our current management team is not working out. They also have complete control over access with airbnb/vrbo, etc as well as 'own' the reviews. If we were to change management (likely) all reviews would be lost, and we are also approaching our high season (summer, Midwest) thus we are trying to not jeopardize our bottom line during our peak season. My wife and I are most concerned with what steps need to be in place or things to be mindful of before pulling the plug from one management team to another in an effort to best streamline and reduce the opportunity cost that'll be lost during this transition. We will be moving approximately 20-25 STR's all located in the same city if that gives any better context ranging from 1-4 unit properties.

Hi Michael, my wife and I own two STR's. One in Kenosha and One in Florida. We manage the Kenosha Cabin ourselves. In the Florida property, we have a local individual that co-hosts/manages for us. We are looking to expand our management portfolio locally. We have an outstanding track record with our Kenosha Cabin with over 45 five-star reviews in the 14 months we have been operating and and overall five star rating on Airbnb and VRBO. We would love the opportunity to meet with you to discuss how we can help you if you are still in the market for a new management company.

Professionally,

Chris E.

Quote from @Donald D Michna:

Hello all, my wife and I are new to the short-term rental game, but have had long term rentals in the past. We have the first unit of a three-unit property go live this week. I wanted to see if fellow hosts can provide feedback on the listing to see what we could improve upon. I will include the link below.

https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5...

What is your opinion if a potential tenant requests to stay in your unit for the first two months, after that extend the stay outside of AirBNB? We have the proper insurance for a short term rental on top of the AirBNB insurance. I don't see a downfall at this time, but want to see others opinions. We would have the tenant sign a short term rental lease.

Hi Donald, I wish you the best. I agree with the others and say that is a lot of white walls. It's a beautiful place just need some more color. Maybe consider adding pictures of Am Fam Field, Fiserv Forum, Summerfest, local brewery stuff or anything else local. Vet the long term requesters thoroughly. After 30 days they become long term renters and have new rights and will make your life hell. Good luck!!
