Post: What should I do with money I’m saving to invest?

I am currently saving up money to buy an owner occupied 2-4 unit house. I have 13k and hope to save up another 17k to make it an even 30k. What should I do with the money I have saved while I’m waiting on the other money? It is currently in a checking account and I think it will take me at least 1 year to get the rest saved. Thanks for any advice.

I would like to start a small business related in some way to real estate. What are some good businesses that are related to real estate that can be highly profitable, assuming you work hard at it? I would prefer something that doesn’t involve having an advanced degree such as real estate law firm.

Some examples that I have seen:

Flipping business

Property Management company

Real estate brokerage firm

Follow up question: What skills would someone need to go from nothing to somewhat wealthy? Some of this skills I already have are accounting and tax from an CPA firm internship, basic construction/rehab from helping my parents remodel three houses, and business management from my soon to be completed business administration degree. Anything you would add? Thanks again!

 Sales. Sales. Sales.

i wish I learned sales early on...

Do you know any good ways to learn sales? Get a sales job, podcast, books etc?

Theoretical question for you guys: Imagine you have no money and few skills. You have to become a millionaire in 5 years. How would you do it? Looking for specific and actionable answers/ideas that are accessible to the average human being.

I’m interested in investing in real estate through the brrrr method and want to do as much of the rehab work myself for the first few properties. Does anybody have any recommendations on where to learn rehab skills? I’m looking for things such as blogs, books, Youtube channels, etc.I know a few basic things such as painting, drywalling, and mudding, but I would like to learn a lot more. Any responses would be much appreciated
