Hi I just purchased a buy&hold rental from Augusta , would you happen to know any handymen or contractors in the area ?

I’m looking for budget friendly ideas on how to heat & cool basement in a rental I have , the basement is finished with a room, bathroom , laundry room & living area . I’m looking to add heat & cooling some kind of way but the only thing I can come up with are doing mini splits in the bedroom & living area which will probably cost around 3k + , another thing I thought about was just focusing on the heating part since the basement usually stays cool even when it’s super hot out in Georgia .

I know this is a older post , I just purchased a property in the Augusta area near the apple valley neighborhood not far from those plants & I was thinking about going the section 8 route with it, I just need a little more info what I need to prepare for, what direction did you end up going?

@Aaron Crow great post I know that this is 5 years old but I can relate to what you are saying in today’s market here in the Ga area it seems to be a very hot sellers market & there are individuals that are willing to pay more for properties than I am , once they stop marking sense for me I can go over my numbers , it’s so tempting but I have to hold it in & understand that there will be other & better opportunities. Arv 100k repairs 25k and there are people that don’t mind paying 75/80 for this , I thought I was pushing it when I went from 45 to 50 .
