BS in Business Management. My major was management information systems. A hybrid of business and IT. None of it prepared me for investing. It prepared me for the E quadrant to be an employee. Self directed learning and networking with successful people has taught me more than my degree. I really believe success is linked to your CQ, connection quotient. Love the fact that relationships is the foundation for real estate.

@Sean Walton 's idea is a good one! My mom has a cousin who owns an appliance repair business. I remember him telling us stories of the appliances some of clients bought and after 6 months when something minor broke they gave it to him and bought something else. He would obtain the parts and if the parts were not really expensive he would sell it at discount to someone else. He made some extra cash and his customer received a great deal. I would Google appliance repair companies in your area and ask if this happens for them. If so, ask if you can be on their buyer list.

I am an IT professional in the healthcare industry. I also do volunteer work for my church and at times lead small groups to teach others things I am learning to help build up the church community. Real estate became an option for me since I started fanning the flames of a dream to own a lodge in Colorado to host men's leadership retreats. This is a picture of the lodge below. This picture doesn't do it justice.

I would recommend an Android phone. I'm a fan of the Google phones because they come with a very clean install of Android. No junk software that the carrier would install. Also I would recommend Evernote as a go to app for keeping notes, photos, etc organized for your real estate business. Evernote creates a library of notebooks to keep information organized and easy to locate. The search features work great for finding information very quickly. It's free to use with paid options available if the basic features won't cut it for you.

Hello everyone! My name is Casey Faul from Lafayette, Louisiana. I am an IT professional of the past 8 years with 6 of those years in the Healthcare industry. I grew up in an oil field family where my dad worked offshore for a good portion of my childhood. I can recall him earning a good living but also dodging layoffs when the industry went down. I see real estate as a vehicle to create life long relationships, build generational wealth, and have some time leverage to invest in growing a family. My initial goals are to begin wholesaling to pay off some debt and put away at least 50% of my yearly income in some emergency savings.  I'm excited to connect with some great folks in this great community.
