I found some the trustee names and there are no contact information. I tried calling the county office of the property and they could not give me any information. Is there a way to find these trustees? I have noticed that many of the trustees and lumped with others and the numbers I was able to find, no one knows those trustees.

I am tempted to put some of the trustee names on here and see if anyone knows them and can give me some contact info. LOL.

I am looking for some wisdom on how to contact and communicate with trustees for foreclosures and pre foreclosures from the list I have aquired. Also, I saw quite a few with auction.com. What do I do with those?

I must be thinking the correct things. I was just talking to a realtor about that yesterday from a conversation I had the day before. LOL

Well, as far as I know, there is not actual training that you need to do. All the training should be done with the realtor. You may need to call a few( maybe more than a few) realtors and find out what they know about anyone becoming an unlicensed realtor assistant. Please PM me if you are able to find some information.

You should not be betting on appreciation when you are looking for properties to turn into rentals. Make sure that you will have good cash flow and the appreciation will be icing on the cake. If you do get the appreciation you wanted or any, you will not become upside down and have a money pit instead of an investment.

I have looked at a few properties in that area, and you can get about $100 to $150 a unit at the end of the month(maybe more if you will be an active landlord which I don't want to me and have figured in a PM company). Make sure ALL the numbers look right before you try to get the deal.

Good Luck!

@Jamie I agree with everything that @Seth has said. However, the question I have for you is where do you want to live to start? There are areas in the Tarrant county (Fort Worth side of DFW) that you can find a multi family home (duplex or a four-plex) and live in one of the properties while renting out the others. I would suggest in getting a PM to work the property but it depends of if you really want to become a LandLord(Lady). I believe you can get a traditional mortgage on up to a four-plex and since you are military go the VA loan route (if you know where to look, Texas does have some great benefits for military). I am not an expect and very new to the Life of REI but wanted to welcome you to Bigger Pockets and Texas (if you decide to come) and give my 2 cents.
