If you read on here long enough, you'll quickly see arbitrage is not a ideal path to take.

I would look in tourist friendly areas. National parks and beaches are never a bad thing

Your most important first line of defense to protect you from troublesome guests is your listing.

Make sure you are clear and concise and use simple wording. No fluff. Explain it to them like they are 5.

And also make sure you send a message immediately upon booking with your RA.

Typically this helps ward off those bad guests and the ones who will be trouble are going to cancel once they see that RA and realize they have to sign it or they are going to keep scrolling before booking.

Quote from @Michael Baum:

Hey @Arpit Guglani. So you would want to build a standard stick built cabin or something like that.

First thing I would do is check with the city/county to see what the permit cost will be, what they allow, what the lead time is etc.

I would avoid tiny homes, etc. The value isn't there for the unit itself. You would want to have a property that would appreciate.

You want a piece of land that allows STRs, has power and water nearby. Sewer if it available would be nice. Easy septic if not.

There is really a ton of things to look out for when getting started. More will chime in.

Everything Mike said + time.
Building especially in a STR market is going to take for literal ever.

Yet another future deal!

https://www.walmart.com/ip/TCL-65-Class-4-Series-4K-UHD-HDR-...

Walmart has the 65" TCL 4 series Roku 4k TV for $228.

Of course I have posted these types of deals before so you all know that we use these in our rentals with zero issues.

Good luck!

The ONLY kind of tv to use! Thanks for posting, Mike.

Thank you in advance!

I have three there! The Short Term Shop operates in this area and can help you out, also in Blue Ridge too!

Professional photos for sure!

Also, a well organized and easy to digest listing. Guests don't want to read through paragraphs - they want quick bullet points so they can make a quick choice about where they want to stay.
