Hey all,

I bought a property in 2013 through an FHA loan with Mortgage Insurance Premium (MIP). I just got news that the government is lowering the MIP rate which would knock down some of the monthly premium. The value of the property has not increased by a significant amount either. Are there benefits to doing the FHA streamline and what are the cons if there are any?

@James Northrup- NACA sounds pretty good but I already own a property so it probably won't work for me.

@Rebecca Peters Nice!! If you don't mind me asking how much was the property you purchased?

@James Northrup - Thanks for the info, I never heard of the NACA loan, what are specs of that loan?

@Account Closed Thanks man. NYC is quite expensive at the moment especially finding something in Brooklyn. Have you heard anything good about the Bronx as compared to the other boros?

Hey all,

I'm new to investing and have been looking for 2-4 family properties within the NYC area but a lot of the properties are greater than the down payment (60K) I'm willing to put down and don't seem to have good cash flow in rental income. There seems to be slim pickings in Brooklyn or Queens. Does anyone know any areas outside of NYC area  (30 mins-1hr) that would have good cash flow?

Thanks

Hey all,

I'm an investor with private investors who are looking for multifamily deals (5-23 units) within the NYC/NJ/CT area. I am preferably looking for REOs, multifamily deals with seller financing or buildings FSBOs. If you have any leads or opportunities please email me at [email protected].

Thanks,

Jermaine

@Che Chiu Wong Thanks for the answer...There are a lot of factors in what makes a good tenant and knowing my strengths and types of tenants I may be good with dealing with are factors I'll def consider when looking for renters.
