Hello BiggerPockets Members! What tools do you use to analyze short term rentals? I desire to have a deeper understanding of how the numbers work. Is there a formula you like best?

Hello BP community,

I live in Western North Carolina and I am looking to find a lake house in the Chattanooga area. It will be used as a family vacation spot and a short term rental. Is there anyone on the forum who can help?

Thanks guys!

I have a follow-up question to Shanise's question.  When you analyze a duplex using the rental calculator, is there a place to add that it is a duplex?

Thank you Tim, this is very helpful.

I am a newbie look for more resources on how to understand the numbers when analyzing deals.

Thank you both!  I am a newbie and just learning deal analysis. I upgraded to Pro just last week. Any other suggestions on resources to learn deal analysis?  Thanks again for taking the time to reply.  This had been very helpful.
