Hello Everyone,

We bought our starter house in Ft Worth 76118 in 12/2008 through a short sale, so we got a great deal. The house needed a complete makeover so over the years we've transformed the house and earned us 70k of equity. Since I've had 10 years framing houses and construction and a few years remodeling homes, I did everything myself (with the help of family members of course). I started on BP 6 months ago and have listened to at least 30 audiobooks on REI and 1/2 the podcast here on BP. 3 months ago our short term plan was to buy another house to live in (that's more practical to raise our 5 & 2 year old boy's in) and rent out our other house. Plan Executed a month ago!!! After cap expense we're cash flowing $400 a month!! Plus we LOVE our new house and it's in the same neighborhood so we are managing it as well!! Thanks to all the knowledgeable books and podcast. I know I need to start being more interactive on BP forums and networking with local people here in the mid cities. Our 8 year goal is to both not have to work for the man no more and will do what it takes to achieve!!!!

Jeremy,

Thanks for your input. So we just got the process rolling with Wells Fargo. In the next few days we should have something solid other than estimates and will let you know.

I'm 0 for 2 trying to get a HELOC for our house that's not going to be our primary residence. Been to Chase and AACU. Can someone refer us to someone that can make it happen.

Hello sherry, I am new to this game, currently looking to buy our 2nd house. We've been looking to find a group to meet up with. Boomer Jacks or Springs Creek sounds like a perfect meet up place for us. I'd really like to know when and where.

OK Jd Martin thanks, yeah for some reason realtor.com when searching recently sold for the price it says--

On Zillow recently sold, is it the Zestimate  # that is exact price?
