Hey fellow BP members!

I'm 17 years old and eager to get started on my REI journey. I live in Alberta, Canada. I've been educating myself about this topic for over a year now, especially with all of this free time in quarantine, but have not taken action yet. Mostly I've been analyzing deals that i get from the MLS or a realtor's mailing list (often the same properties), reading books, podcast listening and video/webinar viewing.

I'm ready to take action and benefit from having an investment property, most interested in the BRRRR strategy so that I can build wealth, as well as have a monthly cashflow. However, I do not want to wait until I am of legal age to sign legal documents or obtain a mortgage. I'd love any information or tips from BP members either in Canada or the US! Mostly trying to gain a sense of what my options are.

Thanks in advance and I'm always open to connecting with you all!

Hey Agus,

I'm sorry to hear the situation that you are in. I am personally looking to buy in Calgary, so as for selling, I have no advice. But I do have a few questions about the property itself.

What community is this in?

Do you believe there is room to increase rent?

Does it need any renovation?

Obviously there are lots of specifics regarding this property and I'm not technically allowed to ask for "deals", but since I'm looking to buy I thought that it might benefit us both to get in touch with you.

Thanks!
