Aloha All,

I am currently under contract with my first real estate investment in Savannah, GA. Yahoo!!! I am in need of some advice on Home Owners Insurance. What is the best way of finding an Insurance company and/or anyone have any recommendations or know of any great local Savannah insurance agents? Also, Would it be a good idea to consider using the same insurance company my parents use for their homes (located in Hawaii)? I will be house hacking this home, renting 2 of 3 bedrooms. It’s a 1,054ft house on a 6,011ft lot. Ready to move in home with a renovated kitchen.

Thank you in advance for everyones help and suggestions. Mahalo!

Quote from @Bruce Woodruff:

We did not buy a single new item for our STRs. Much smarter to go with affordable antiques and high-end thrift stores. Especially for stuff like dishes/glasses/silverware, small appliances like blenders/coffee pots toasters. Pennies on the dollar and you can't tell they aren't new......

That’s what I’m thinking. Thank you

Thank you everyone for the Advice. I am in Savannah, GA.  One friend recommended Friendly Marketplace in Georgetown that basically sell everything you need for a home at 50% retail price and all profits go to Veterans.  I will also be checking out thrift stores and goodwills as well as facebook marketplace.

Appreciate everything! Will continue to ask for more advice and tips from everyone as more things pop up.  Thank you again! Talk soon!

Any advice on best way to furnish a new rental when on a budget and future renters don’t need brand new items?

Thrift shopping, goodwill, IKEA, websites, apps???

Needs: couches, bedding, kitchenware (plates, silverware, etc), desks, dining tables, dressers, etc.

Mahalo!

Is there a way to rewatch the most recent webinar (Dec 2 @ 5pm) with David Greene?
