Hi @Russell Brazil thank you! That's the feeling I was getting but wasn't 100% sure. Thanks for chiming in!

Hi everyone!

My wife and I are about to purchase our first home soon. The idea is to house hack for the first couple of years. Eventually, we'll move from that home and keep it as a rental property as we continue to look for other REIs. We're looking in the College Park, Hyattsville, Riverdale areas which I hear are up and coming areas. However, I'm curious about what people think about North Brentwood, Berwyn Heights, and New Carrollton areas. They're relatively in the same areas but still, that's not saying very much.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

@Brian Harker congrats man! I heard Indiana is a great spot. I'd love to invest there. I just don't know anyone yet haha.

Hey Everyone!

I need a little advice. What are you're thoughts on being able to rent out the downstairs portion of a finished basement if the house's only washer and dryer units are downstairs in the basement? Would it be inconvenient for the tenant, if either the landlord (or other tenants) need to go downstairs in the tenants' basement space to use the washer/dryer as well?

Thanks!

@Deonte Ademiluyi all the people saying 1000 ain’t enough you should take a screen shot of. You can do it. The main question is asking “how” to do it. Keep grinding buddy. I’m new too!
