Business entities can be useful for tax purposes. S-Corps etc. But if you are a beginner then you are complicating your life by trying to figure all of that out now. Use your brain for something more beneficial at the moment, or establish your needs to a financial consultant and let them handle this aspect for you. Its their job. Business entities will also be necessary later as you begin building a brand. You can then operate several operations under one umbrella (LLC etc) You also appear more professional and organized in the eyes of others this way. Done.

Stay away from college!!!

One of the many reasons I got into Real Estate is to hopefully help get out of the debt created by obtaining a college education. IMO there are so many resources and opportunities in Real Estate that pursuing a degree of somesort pertaining to it, would be unnecessary.  Anything beyond the courses that can be obtained at any local real estate school is a waste of valuable time better spent elsewhere. Unlike other fields, real estate is a level playing field in which the most knowledgeable, not necessarily the most educated, can rise to the top! Done.

No need to make the guy feel like a loser for asking a question. I think we are all here in the pursuit of a better understanding of things no? I'm sure there are other forums on BP where you may lack some knowledge, and I would hope someone who had more knowledge doesn't come to your post to both answer your question and make you feel like an idiot all at the same time lol. Have a Happy New Year! :)

I ran into to this same problem. Although, I don't have my own company as you do. I too am interesting in building my own brand so that in the future if I choose a different firm or perhaps start my own brokerage, my clients will recognize my brand name regardless. Keep up posted on your progress and good luck!

Hard Working Agent,

I am fairly new to this and was wondering if any of the experienced agents here possibly have a step by step checklist/template to follow as a guide in dealing with buyers/sellers that you go by that all of us newbies to the business could benefit from. For Example:

Step1: Get Pre- Approval

Step 2: Etc etc

*Including any and all paperwork requirements etc.

I don't know about you guys out there, but I often find myself stressed trying to piece everything together mentally in the moment. It would be very useful to have some type of step by step checklist to follow to relieve some of the anxiety that comes with negotiating deals as an inexperienced agent. Thank you in advance for any input or advice you may be able share with us.
