Thanks! No idea why everywhere I look shows hourly rates. Do you guys have an opinion on how good of a market it'd be to get into?

Hello everyone, I am currently a real estate agent in California and my fiancé and I are looking at a possible move to Washington State, in particular the Seattle area. Was just wondering if real estate agents are paid hourly or if they are paid by comission(or both?).. The research I've been doing seems like they're mostly paid hourly but could use input from some agents in the area or the state in general. Any info would help greatly and will be appreciated! Thanks!

Hey guys! Brad here, I'm a new real estate agent getting started in the Inland Empire and Orange County area and I have a client/friend looking to rent in a section 8 home in the Riverside and Moreno Valley area. They are looking for 3 bedrooms and up. Please get back to me if you know of any in the area or own somewhere near. I look forward to working with you all here on bigger pockets and appreciate any random agent advice as well. Have a great day and thank you!

Carlos Altamirano it's not allowing me to PM you from the app I'm using. Any chance you can PM me? Sorry for the late reply I've been out on vacation the past few days.

Mark Nolan Thank you. I most definitely will. I also have been listening to the podcast for a little over a year now. I also forgot to post the area of Southern California I'm in. I currently stay in the Riverside area but am very familiar with Orange County and pretty much everywhere between Pasadena and Laguna Beach 😂 I've been an ADT installer in that territory for years.

Hello everyone, I have recently passed the California Real Estate license exam and am in the process of looking for a brokerage company to help me get started. Initially I went after the license for investment purposes, not so much actually being an agent. Throughout the licensing process I suddenly fell in love with wanting to be a successful full time Real Estate Agent. I've worked a full time corporate blue collar job since I left high school and I'm ready to pursue bigger and better things. I'm looking to hopefully meet a mentor here on BP or maybe get some feed back on what companies will work with training a new agent that's excited to learn and go full steam ahead in launching my real estate career. My ultimate goal for the next coming year is to learn as much as possible and meet as many people as I can. In hopes to some day be of assistance to some of you here on BP and other investors around the area. Any feedback is appreciated and I look forward to hearing the advice and experience you all have to offer, thank you.

My name is Brad, I've been listening to the Bigger Pockets podcast for over a year now but am new to the forums. I've finally saved up some money and am looking to invest in the Denver area. My only issue is I live in California and always have; therefore, I am not familiar with the market but plan on moving there within the next few years after acquiring a few rental properties. I could really use an investor friendly realtor to help me find and maintain my first rental property as I learn the ropes. I figured there's no better way to learn than to just dive in. If you're not a realtor but know the market, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
