@Jimmy Dumas how is the project coming? I am  a recent architecture student graduate and what to develop and design my own projects.

@Nat C. thank you for bringing up overtown i was just reading an article about its gentrification. I live in Coral Springs but want to move to Miami when I have saved enough money hopefully buy an investment property within the next year. Anyway my bets are on Overtown as well there is a real need for affordable housing in Miami for young professionals I hope to get into Overtown soon.

Also thanks @Michael Jobe for your input I have a better idea of where to look. My friend made a comment about gentrification in lil Haiti and I believe Overtown is a place of investment. MIAMI STAND UP!!! LOL

@Hellena Rall I am still looking for architecture jobs. I think it is wise to use m income to help supplement the costs of my investments. The path to licensure is very expensive and jobs are very scarce. I have not given up on it but I know it will not be the way to an early retirement.

@Marcus Brown I am not registered I just recently graduated and have very few IDP hours. Its very hard to get an architecture job with no experience. Its still early so I will keep trying but the path to licensure is a daunting one with little reward as I am sure you know. I wanna build beautiful houses one day but I cant without a license or much a less a job.

Hello all,

My name is T and I am a recent Masters graduate and during my last year of my masters I realized I would not get anywhere I wanted to be financially with architecture in the time I wanted. I also realized architecture would not allow me the creativity that I thought would be common place in an architecture firm. So I decided real estate development was the surest and most rewarding way to make money and transform spaces (ie house flipping).

I also realized that this job market would not be easy to break into with limited connections and experience. The old catch 22 need experience to get work but need to work in order to get experience. I have decided to make my own opportunities and not wait on someone to hand me a job (even though I have been earnestly seeking). I know this is for me and I will make it happen. Thanks for reading and any advice is welcome. Prost!
