@Tyler Caglia great tip! I've read so many books and listened to countless BP podcasts  at this point so I think I have the education piece down.

I just need to take that final leap of faith, start making offers, and building those relationships. Appreciate the advice!

Hi everyone!

I've been doing a lot of market research on where I should build my long distance rental portfolio and have narrowed it down to the below list. In general there seems to be a good amount of cashflowing opportunities in these areas. I'm looking for additional confirmation or feedback on these areas before I pull the trigger. Any comments would be truly appreciated!

these are all in or around Philadelphia

  • Frankford Philadelpia
    Mayfair Philadelphia
    Tacony Philadelphia
    Wisinioming philadelphia
    Holmesburg Philadelphia
    Germantown Philadelphia
  • Chester, PA
  • linwood, PA
  • if anyone has any experience in these areas could you please opine or BRRRRability or even general investability?

Congrats on your success! Always great to see these out of state investing deals work. Also loved how organized the deal summary was!

Any tips for people trying expand their portfolio out of their backyard?

Hey everyone! Hope everyone's investments are doing well.

Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on property management software. Buildium to be exact.

1. Has it helped you scale effectively? If so how?

2. Has it helped you reduce costs? If so how?

3. How would you rate the tenant screening features? What do you like most about them compared to traditional methods?

4. Did it eliminate the need for traditional property management?

There's a lot of information on the website and YouTube but I also wanted to see if anyone could provide first hand reviews of the product.

Wow! Thank you, everyone, for a warm welcome :)

@Scott C. Already on podcast 61. I listen to at least 2 a day to and from work haha. I find it extremely beneficial to hear about deals others have done at that level of detail. I have so many stories, I KNOW will come in handy later, etched in my head from the podcasts. They really are an incredible resource! I'll take a look at the webinars as well.

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Bhanu(Bah - nu) and I work in Manhattan at a credit card company. I've been working in data and financial technology since 2009. Recently I've been listening to a lot of the bigger pockets podcasts and doing a lot of reading about real estate and decided real estate investing is what I want to do long term.

The main goal of being a member of this forum are to continuously learn and hopefully teach others as a continue to build my knowledge base. Hopefully, as I continue my journey, I get to meet a lot of like-minded individuals in the New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia area and build a strong network as well.

I do own my own personal residence in Jersey City, other than that, I don't have any formal experience with Real Estate investing. Ideally, by the end of the year, I'm hoping to close at least 1 or 2 buy and hold deals for passive rental income. Looking forward to starting my journey on bigger pockets and investing in the NY, NJ and PA area or wherever a good deal takes me!

Cheers,

Bhanu
