@Billy Cowell search here for "guru" offerings and you will find they are all the same. coaching, inner circle upgrades, a method, mentorship....blah blah blah. The names change but the methods don't. Some might even offer actionable insights if you have money, though all the info can be found for free.

They are about as scammy as something (usually) legal can be.

You are completely right. "They ALL are the same."

I bet each one of them was at one point, just like us, making observations about how they are ALL the same and than they became part of the the "ALL". So we need to "make it" so we can understand why this happens.

Hello, everybody. I hope all goes well with you. I went to the workshop with Phill Grove. I think he did do a good job at his presentation and helped me to find my strategy in Real Estate Investing. So, I want to hear your comment. I have a few questions for you.

What do you think of Big Dog Program with Phill Grove? This program seemed to expand the network and help people to partner or invest either.

If I don't join this program, how can I build a network and look for serious people willing to invest or partner in Texas?

Please make comments here. I would love to hear and learn more about this organization.

There is a lot of info on BP about Phill Grove but I am in his 3-day seminar right now and I will update when it's over.

Usually, these gurus will teach the "why" and the "what"  but you have to pay for the "how." During this 3-day workshop, we learn many "hows" so there is definitely value.

My goal is to find a group to join to get this show started for me.

@MIKE HOUSTON Hi Mike! I’m currently sitting in the 2nd day of the three day training. In the entire time it took me to read your post. I am listening to Phil explain to me what Marketing is. I have a BBA in Marketing. I’m so insulted. We have gone through 1 strategy today. The rest has been various pitches for the Big Dog Program. Im so over it. I thought REIAs were supposed to be supportive.

I am sitting in the 3 day workshop today and I am learning a lot. As a matter a fact, he has not pitched anything at all.

Have you read the other posts on this thread? Particularly the ones calling out other posters? You never can tell who is telling the truth.

I am at one of Phill Grove's events this weekend in Dallas. Not sure yet what the pitch will be at the end of the 3-day event but Phill has done 1000s of deals and has direction for every possible scenario.

We are learning so much, it is definitely worth just coming to this event and going through all the different scenarios a new or experienced investor may face.

@Angela Keesee   I just realized you are in McKinney..... before you invest with a guru, come to the Texas Tuesday event at Venture X in Lewisville on August 3rd.   Lots of young investors, good energy, easy networking.   There are plenty of other groups, but this might be a good start.  Free to attend.   I've made many other posts regarding groups here, so you can probably find those posts to find more groups to checkout.

Hey Bruce, I am also in McKinney. Please share any new events. Thanks

It has been a while since the original post.  What has your experience with the Taxliencode company?  How has your tax lien/deed purchase journey been?  I recently went to the 90min seminar.  I was really interested in the software they use but not ready to pay 1k + $40/mo without more proof of the value. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I am in the same situation

Quote from @Fernando Martínez:

Greetings
Looking into the Tax Lien Code seminar. Is it legit and worth it?
Seems like they are sales people that are well versed in tax liens and deeds selling boot camps for classes at 10,000, 26000 and the 40000

I’m interested but don’t want to be scammed!

I attended an intro session today and my buddy signed up. I would love to hear more info

Quote from @Marie Z.:

I'd really like to start investing in tax liens but I'm not sure where to get started and get some training. I just signed up for a 3 day workshop through Tax lien code. After reading all the comments on here, I'm tempted to cancel. Any thoughts from any seasoned investors would be greatly appreciated.

Did you follow through? How has it been?

We went to an info session today for Tax Lien Code and my buddy actually signed up. So I will be sure to update over the next couple weeks.

It definitely seems niche but could allow an investor to become 1 lien position on a property which could result in acquisition of said property but it doesn't seem likely.

I would love to connect with anyone that has signed up for Thach's program. It looks intriguing and if just buying into the group for $8000 is worth it, the training is a bonus.

It seems that BP is majorly split between those who have never done a deal (probably 80%) and those that have 2+ deals under their belt (20%). That barrier to entry is very challenging and if $8000 is enough incentive to get ones butt going, it is worth it.

I had a call with the sales rep from the Springboard company yesterday (Jan 2024). They are offering
1. Training
2. Deal Review
3. A unique funding source
4. Access to investors
5. Community

My sales guy, Ben, mentioned that he did 20+ deals since joining the program and 8 of his deals were funded though the Springboard Funding program.

Last week, I had a call with Kingdom320 (Jeff Rutkowski) and they did not offer access to investors or funding. I felt like I was "bait-and-switched" when I got off that call. The top program was $30,000 for two years.

I did not feel that way when I got off the Springboard intro call and I am actually considering. Having a coach/mentor is worth it.

If anyone in Thach's programs, see this please send me a DM.

There are better systems for under 5% of that. Just saying.

 Thank you. Programs like what?
