Scott W., Would the 2% rule mean the following.

If he is paying $375,000 x .02 = $7,500 is what the rent should be collecting?

That seems excessive!

I respect both your opinions - Rich Weese, Bill Gulley, and have meet Rich at the Summit (remember the water spilling down you, I took the picture), but my mind is still not made up on this thing, since I am an Independent thinker (although registered Republican).

I am just going to go through post by post to try and get some answers to questions, or state some facts, and hopefully you guys can give me some actual sources. BTW, I do NOT believe everything I read on the internet, but you have to start somewhere, and I know listening to FOX or MSN is not the answer.

Rich, you claimed 7 out of 10, please state your source? This says 5 of 10, and I have to wonder how many have been that way for years, since DC is always a hot bed. Is it just Gov't spending? I bet lobbyist and Super-Pacs forming near DC also account for these stats.

Forbes - 2012 - Americas Richest Counties, but page-by-page

I think we are already there...
I like percentages, and 14% seems too high for this country. I wonder what the percentage was all the other years since it started.

Where is this stat coming from?

Would not the "redistribution of wealth", have started with FDR (or before, like Rich said) I believe it is closer to some 47 years ago!

I found this interesting! At least BO is not taking our Gold, don't have to worry about that since we are off that standard! (Not too sure that is a good thing, LOL!)

Better than the 9/9/9 pizza plan, I like it! Put Accountants out of business though?

There needs to be a balance... spend less, tax more, stay away from War! (with that mantra, I should run for office)

Just was this blog/infographic relating to "Bush Tax" cuts.

Jeff S. - Ya think so, you don't think there is a war in their somewhere?

J Scott, I bet you prefer the numbers you were showing, but I am visual person. Have you seen this infographic?

Rich Weese, thanks for the shout-outs, I listen to "The RE Radio Guys" weekly, they have some good info on there and how it relates to real estate.

Rich Weese, so what is a average american supposed to do?

I agree, I see the train wreck coming.

Does the book talk about how to prepare?

John Miller, IMO you were in a buyers agency agreement, not sure why you are thinking the Sellers representative would help you out, hence the reason she will not give you paperwork!

I would go after your Buyers agents Broker, but in a non-threatening way at first, that you will file a complaint with the Board.

They do have E&O insurance.

When I did my first deal as an agent for my investor, I found the paperwork to be more straight forward, than a regular P&O agreement.

I agree with Ibrahim. Tri-State is a good local REI club. Also Google NJRESN.

Hope to meet you at an event.

I am not at the re-habbing point yet, so excuse my ignorance.

1.) Isn't pulling your own permits, an advantage if you need to get rid of the contractor?

2.) I am assuming it does not matter if the home is owner-occupied VS. investment property when it comes to pulling your own permits?

Shane Woods, I have to agree. Just being active on BP, and starting to network has helped me some!
