Thank you @Dmitriy Fomichenko. Along those same lines, could any brokerage account be used, such as USAA?

@Account Closed, am interested to know about liens on these properties. Might they not have clear titles?

@Mark Nolan Could a person have checkbook control as well as a brokerage account? Can funds be invested in, say mutual funds, and then sold when one wants the liquidity to buy real estate?

@Jeff Bisgier - Thank you for sharing your experience. I hope you keep updating the adventure. I know I will be in your shoes soon. Can't wait to hear what the ARV is! I am wondering something though...my bank has told me that when I refinance sooner than a year's worth of "seasoning," they will only refinance on the amount that I purchased the property for, not on the ARV. Is this true with most banks? I have not checked with any others.

@Christopher Gill I love how you are thinking outside of the box and love that you are recognizing this upcoming market. I can definitely see how the millennial worldview has and will impact all facets of the future marketplace.

@David M.. thank you for your prompt response. How did you know what the bank foreclosed for? Is that listed somewhere?

@Wogderess H. I know this is an old post, but whatever happened with this issue? Were you able to get the HM without the inspection?

@David M. What do you mean that you had to bid all the way to the original asking price? I don't notice they post asking prices, but rather opening bids...am I looking at it wrong?

@Tyler Mutch  Yeah, I believe that "depending on your exit strategy" would be a pertinent point because If you plan to hold every property for 30 years, that wouldn't really be enticing to the Realtor. :)
