Has anyone had experience with Housing Collaborative. It is a non profit housing assistance service out of Charlotte. I'd like to know other landlords' experience of the application, placement, inspection, and renewal process

"Small" landlords only. Has a clear definition been established for what constitutes "small"?

Back@Home NC is a program administered by the NC Department of Health and Human Services. The media, in the context of  Covid,  is reporting that the program provides financial relief to some landlords whose tenants are at risk of homelessness.  Has anyone had experience with this program? If so, will you share? Does anyone understand how this program can help landlords? Interested in relation to Covid only. Thanks!

@John Turner I have work in Kinston. Just sent you a connection request.

Can someone please direct me to the North Carolina law that tells me exactly what constitutes abandonment of a building? This is a SFR. Don't need to know about personal property, just the building itself. I am getting different answers from attorney, property manager, and other landlords.

How would you handle the personal property left by a tenant who has broken the lease, not paid December rent, and advised she moved out to another town 3 weeks ago? Tenant keeps scheduling appointment to pick up items but never shows. This is in North Carolina. Property is worth about $150 - table and chairs, dirty mattress, couch, and side table, and some kitchen items.

@Joe Splitrock I really like this idea. We just had another house go vacant. Same block. Same size. Same number of bedrooms & bath. So, with 2 almost identical houses now empty I'm doing an experiment . . . lowering the rent on one & offering no rent for December with security deposit & January rent paid when lease is signed.
