@Rocco DeMartino Awesome to see another peer learning about real estate! I'm part of @Dan Sheeks group and it's an amazing place to learn and build relationships with young people that are on the road to financial independence! I would love to connect with you man!

Hi BP, I just finished reading "The One Thing" by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan. Reflecting on the book, I'm realizing there are some good things I need to drop so I can focus on Real Estate. I think some of the good things, I was trying to pursue not because I loved it but because I felt like I NEEDED IT to be "good." I think I was looking for  validation from people instead of doing it cause I wanted to do it. Then I get to the point where am doing a lot of things poorly, which leads me to believe I'm failing. Then my confidence is all lost because I gave up on something I actually didn't care about.

Now I'm looking for things I truly care about and that will lead me to where I want to be. I'm focusing on removing the distractions. I hope that makes sense and if someone else feels the same way or has felt that feeling, comment below. I want to know I am not alone:)

Hi @Hayden Done congrats on getting started with learning! Some things that helped my grasp the content is to just listen to a lot of BP Real Estate podcasts. If you are focusing on House Hacking, go read Craig curelop's book (The House Hacking Strategy). It will guide you through the process like a playbook. Good luck man!

Welcome to BP @Wesley Newton! I am in college and have not invested yet but have been reading tons of books and talking to investors and agents in my area. I would start with reading The House Hacking Strategy by Craig Curelop. It is basically a playbook for everything you need to know about House hacking. Finding the right property for your strategy, tenant screening, interviewing for the best RE agent and much more. Good luck on your REI journey.

Post: Credit Builder Loan? Should I do it?

Hi BP! I'm a 17 yr old college student on my journey to Financial Independence through Real Estate. I've been trying to figure out how to build credit ( since that is very important for financing) and I came across this Credit Builder Loan program. In the next week I'm going to ask my parents if I can get authorized to use their credit card to start building credit. This Credit builder Loan is another way to quickly build credit. Basically you pay the certain amount every month to pay back the loan, and after you have paid it in full you get the money back in a CD. Does this sound like a good idea? Is this unnecessary? Give me your thoughts. Thank You!

@Jerry Limber yeah I don’t have that much money as a college student so I probably won’t head that direction. I will look at Axos though. Thank you!
