I just went to Merrick Damon Real Estate School 2 weeks ago, and it was great. Small group (less than 10), and Merrick is a great guy. 

For the book, I recommend the "Real estate manual for sales associates and brokers, 38th edition" from Dearborn.

I passed my license two days ago :)

To make it simple, if you borrow $100 000, and you get your project done in 6 months (half a year), it would cost you $5000.

100 000 (loan amount)  x 0.10 (interest) × 0.5 (half a year) = 5000
