Hi BP question... If I am currently renting out half of my downstairs in my home and thinking about renting the rest of house approx 1400 sq. feet would I be able to use that money to help finance another house. In other words would it count as income?

Thanks Steve for the tip. I currently own a home and am renting a section of it to a guy. So maybe that is a good starting place for me. Buying a low priced home and renting it out.

Thanks Paul for all the advice, I have downloaded the book and have been reading it whenever I can. I also found the podcast and found one REI club in this area. I plan to start small of course and low income homes but what do you mean by owner occupied gets first crack? Sorry if that is a silly question but like I said I am new to this. But eager to learn and get educated.
