Thank you all for the responses. I was tempted to allow it at their cost as long as I could verify and approve the company doing the work. However, ultimately I decided to go against this as it may set a precedent for them to continue to ask for more and more modifications. 

@Mike Dymski - That's why I pose the question here. What else would they have issues with if they were moving in.Will they become nightmare demanding tenants?

@Matthew Paul The property already has a gas line to the house. It's mainly used for heating and the fireplace. This would be to run it to where the stove is. 

I recently listed a property for rent. An agent that recently showed the property reached to stating that their client love the property but would like to know if the landlord would be okay with installing a gas line or gas stove either at their cost or landlord cost. At their cost, meaning they are willing to pay to have this done. Curious to know how you would handle this situation. Appreciate some feedback.

Thank you. I was thinking the same, as long as I can verify it's a reputable company and stating that the stove will remain when they vacate the property.

@Alan Asriants do you do this for long-term rentals. 1 years plus leases?

@Colleen F. I wish I would have seen your posts earlier. I gave access for them to create codes and control that piece thinking one of the benefits is them having access to control cleaner, and others who need access, especially since it will be going through wifi they pay for. It's a long term rental so made sense to me. I kept the physical key. They also have access through the garage door openers. However, after reading your post, I think I need to think through this process a bit further for the future. 

@Colleen F. Since this is a long-term rental, I was thinking of letting them have the app to control the smart lock app and create codes, etc as they need. I just keep the key. I'm curious if there's any potential problems with that option. 

@Alan Asriants That's exactly what I'm trying to prevent is switching out smart locks each time tenants leave. I know some landlords rotate locks but personally, I'm not comfortable with that as a secure option.
