senario. .. I found a home with papers on the driveway and tall grass. House is vacant. Neighbors say they haven't lived there for months now. I contact the owner by phone and ask about the situation on the home. They want to sell but not sure if there are any taxes due or what its worth.... what are my next steps to getting this wholsale

thanks matt for the detailed response. Now when you say 4 unit, you mean like a duplex? I'm in redlands ca and we don't have many duplexs. I am looking for either a 3-2 or 3-1 and renting it out. And thanks again for that link, very helpf

I'm not sure what you mean about wrong area. Still very green to this. Thank you for the quick response as well. I am looking for cash flow over all, and trying to fine tune the details on how to do that. So live in the house for a year.. is there a list on steps to renting?

looking to purchase a house on a FHA, considering some rehab if needed and renting it out. Are there any lender laws about buying and renting out within a certain amount of time after purchase? And if no, are there renters cheat sheets I could go over to find out A to B on the steps to take when renting?
